Archived commercial documents are frequently used as a
source. This is the title of the Hauptbuch (general
ledger) of Halle (Saale) sugar refinery.
The archive material includes various
documents, books of account, management reports, photographs,
plans and drawings from company and works archives of
sugar factories in the regions of Baden-Württemberg,
Bavaria, Hesse, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
