As a result of the acquisition
of Atys, Dirafrost, Steirerobst, Valløsaft and
Wink, a new business division has been established with
37 production locations around the world and thus market
leadership in Europe has been achieved in fruit-juice
concentrates and market leadership on the world market
in fruit preparations.
In 2007/08 the Fruit segment added € 853 million
to the group revenues. |

| During the campaign 2007 sugar segment,
Südzucker of Germany, Poland and Moldova, the Raffinerie
Tirlemontoise Group of Belgium, the AGRANA Group of Austria
and the Saint Louis Sucre Group of France produced a total
of 4.6 million metric tons of sugar from sugar beet and
refinery in 2005. |

| The biggest customer is the sugar-processing
industry, to which about 80 % of sugar output is sold.
Some of the sugar is transported in tanker vehicles, which
means that no packaging is needed. |
