Refined sugar
 
Refined sugar (EC Quality I) is a crystalline form of sugar that is processed to a high level of purity by dissolving and recrystallising the sugar. It is especially suitable for the production of lemonades, fruit juice drinks and squashes, confectioneries and raw pastes, ice cream, milkshakes and many other products.
 
Icing sugar
 
Icing sugar is obtained by grinding crystalline refined sugar. Because of its very fine crystal size, it is perfect for scattering on pastries and making glazes. Icing sugar is also the right sweetener for many kinds of biscuits and small pastries as well as for pastry and confectionery fillings.
 
Crystal sugar
 
Crystal sugar (basic type or white sugar) (EC Quality II) is processed from sugar beet, by means of crystallisation after extraction and purification of the juice. Crystal sugar is ideal for producing chocolates and chocolate coatings, confectioneries and raw pastes, fancy cakes and pastries, jams, marmalades and jellies, preserved fruit and pickles, etc.
 
Nibs sugar
 
Nibs sugar is a coarse granular sugar with pearl-shaped grains, which gives a highly decorative effect to pastries, desserts and confectioneries. Its granular texture also adds crispiness as well as sweetness to many pastries (texture effects).
 
Fructose
 
It is used in drinks, ice cream, dairy products, etc. because of its sweetness, solubility and flavour-enhancing properties. Fructose is also suitable for food for diabetics.
 
Compri sugar
 
Compri sugar is a directly compressible sugar for producing confectioneries and pills. Compri sugar is also used as a carrier, e.g. for flavourings and pharmaceutical active ingredients.
 
Brown sugar
 
Brown sugar is crystallised from pleasantly tasting brown syrups with a very pronounced taste of caramel. It therefore meets the special flavouring needs of bakers, confectioners and cooks. Brown sugar is suitable for baking highly flavoured spiced biscuits, fruit loaf, "Spekulatius", spiced Christmas biscuits, spiced cakes and gingerbread. It enriches creams and desserts, enhances the flavour of coffee and tea, improves the flavour of sauces and helps to produce a crispy coating during roasting.
 
Raw cane sugar
 
Raw cane sugar is processed from sugar cane. It is characterised by a subtle flavour of caramel and a mild sweetness with hints of spice. It is ideal for good plain cooking, fine cake-making and many kinds of confectioneries. Raw cane sugar is also used to sweeten country-style cereal dishes.
 
Liquid sugar
 
During the baking of fine pastries, liquid sugar has the advantage that the sugar crystals do not first have to dissolve in doughs and pastes. The most important kinds are invert sugar and caramel sugar syrup.
 
Invert sugar syrups
 
Invert sugar syrup is an immediately useable, easily measurable syrup, which is used, in particular, to sweeten drinks and dairy products and to brown and preserve cakes and pastries.
 
Mixed syrups
 
Individual syrups can be mixed depending on the customer's requirements and purpose.
 
Burnt sugar syrup
 
Caramel sugar syrup is light gold to gold-brown in colour and contains tasty mild caramel substances. It ensures optimum product quality during the production of various kinds of Christmas cakes and pastries (gingerbread, honey and spiced cakes, almond and nut bread, fruit loaf, etc.) and various kinds of desserts, creams and fillings.
 
Fondant
 
Fondant is a pasty confectionery product with a plastic consistency. Its microfine crystals and the high quality of the raw materials used mean that it melts gently and has a snow-white appearance. Fondant is used to produce attractive glazes and very fine fillings.
 
Fondant ready-made glaze
 
The fondant ready-made glaze is a ready-to-use, creamy fondant glaze for use on cakes and pastries. Fine crystals give the translucent glaze the desired sheen and gentle melting properties, as well as enriching the taste. The ready-made glaze is used for translucent glazes for freshly baked goods and is ideal for hand-painting with a brush and modern glazing machines.
 
Fondant spray glaze
 
The fondant spray glaze is a sprayable fondant preparation that can be used to glaze cakes and pastries in an efficient way. It is used to apply bright glazes to freshly baked goods destined for rapid consumption. As it is ready to use, it saves time and money.
 
Bee feed
 
Three kinds of bee feed are offered by Südzucker.
Apiinvert®, a ready-to-use, easy-to-use feed syrup of very great purity, whose ingredients of sugar, fructose and glucose make it ideal for bees.
Apifonda®, a ready-to-use feed paste, which always has the same consistency.
Apipuder®, a powdered refined sugar for making stiff, non-adhesive feed pastes.
