The partnership between Ritter and the Südzucker Sugar Division has been marked by long-term trust, innovation and collaboration – for decades. After many years of reliable supply and product development, Südzucker Sugar Division and Ritter open a new chapter in their partnership and Team Up for Innovating Tomorrow together with logistics partner Kleemann Transporte!
In this triangular partnership the three companies came together to enable more sustainable product supply-deliveries using an e-truck for the first time.

In 2022, first conversations started that showed sustainability visions of Südzucker Sugar Division and Ritter matched and common ground was found quickly for a project that represents another building block on the path to net-zero. After having switched their own internal logistics to e-trucks, Ritter now wants to extend e-mobility to the partnerships with their suppliers – a collaboration request that Südzucker Sugar Division happily accepted.

From summer 2025 onwards, sugar deliveries to Ritter in Waldenbuch will take place using an e-truck provided by Kleemann Transporte for several days each week. The charging capacity of the e-truck is sufficient for 2 return trips and will be charged when necessary at the factory premises of Ritter for the production of their Ritter Sport chocolate.
